Our Inquiry....

This week we are doing an inquiry around global warming.
We started by looking at pictures and asking questions. We got into groups of four, every person in the group had a role to play.

We used question dice to help us start our questions...

Once we had asked our questions we got to choose what picture we wanted to learn about. Miss Spies then gave us information about our chosen picture so that we could start answering some of our questions.  We spent yesterday afternoon taking notes and learning about our chosen area of global warming.

Sefa used pictures to help him organise his ideas and understand the concept of air pollution.

Our whanau afternoon last week...

What a great afternoon sharing our learning with our whanau. Thank you to all those who attended.

The water cycle

The sun warms up the water, that makes invisible gas called water vapour.
Water vapour rises up to the sky changing into little raindrops. The droplets turn into bigger droplets. When the droplets get heavy then they start to fall out of the cloud because of gravity .They even grow when they bump into each other, that makes them bigger and bigger. Rain drops, and it happens again and again.
