We have started learning about Sir Edmund Hilary. We read this story together as a class, we then wrote a small paragraph summarising what the story was about.
" Sir Edmund Hilary was the first person to climb the highest mountain in the world- Mt Everest in 1953. He climbed to the summit with his friend Tenzing Norgay. They took a backpack with food, water and oxygen"
We have lots more learning to do!! Watch this space!!
Awesome room 9. So good to know about the history of your country. Would love to see some of your stories.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting book - I would love to share this book with my class. Ms Lim
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking forward to learning more about Edmund Hillary. I wonder how many schools are named after him, I know there's one in Papakura.
